So I’ve been having a problem lately. While I’m gaming on my PC, the frame rates drop from 60-80 FPS to around 3-5 and stay there for about 10 seconds (this happens mostly while playing games like Battlefield 1 and Rainbow Six Siege). This occurs as frequently as 30 seconds depending on the game. Both the cpu and the GPU usage plummet to around 20ish% when this happens. I’ve checked both CPU and GPU temps. CPU hangs around 55-65C, and GPU is usually 65-72C. So temps shouldn’t be the problem. But oddly enough, the problem is solved when I go into MSI Afterburner and crank the graphics card fan speed to 100%. (I’ve tried reinstalling graphics drivers, clearing ram memory, and making space on my hard drives. This isn’t the only thing that seems to fix it.) I would just like to know why this happens and if there is a way to fix it so I don’t have to have a super loud computer all the time? I’d appreciate the help.
