G'day
I recently assembled a new system comprising of the following specs:
i5 8600k
Z370 GAMING 5 (GIGABYTE)
nVidia GTX 1080ti (GIGABYTE AORUS)
Corsair RM650
Samsung 840 EVO 250gb (OS Drive, I have others but they're just for general storage)
TT Floe 360
G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3000C15D
I noticed during some stress testing (FurMark, Heaven, Valley etc.) that the output was almost "skipping" frames, which was odd considering that the FPS wasn't dropping, nor were the temperatures crazy high.
I'm not really sure if this is the GPU, CPU, software, or PSU but the things I have tried are:
Different monitors (both 144hz)
different display cables (DP, DVI, HDMI)
memtest
a fresh install of windows
configuring nVidia control panel
deleting and updating all drivers
reducing CPU and RAM clockspeeds
Any advice on what direction I should take from here would be greatly appreciated because I'm honestly lost for ideas.
Feel free to ask any questions as well. Thanks :^)
