I get 800+ for my Morgan Duron 1.15 GHz (230 MHz FSB), Morgan Duron 1 GHz (my stock speed) gets only 500+ 😱

LOL, a PR tool that has nothing to do with the actual performance, sounds like AMD's recent PR ratings as seen with the 3200+!

God knows!

BTW, only 754 pin A64 will use PR. 940 pin version will use model number somewhat like Opteron

This tool can guess the PR of Duron (Morgan Core)/Athlon XP (all cores) based on clock speed, FSB, L2 cache and core type.

Yeah I'm well pleased with my barton. My 2500 does 2.4ghz, but when I get my new one, I'm hoping it hits 2.5ghz or higher...The new batches can do upto 2.7ghz on good air/water cooling.

Wow! 2.7GHZ, that is definitely on the lines of 3.2GHZ killer.

Wish we'd hear and see real-time proof that it is possible with conventional air-cooling.

Theres a few guys that reached 2.5-2.6ghz at vrzone with slk800's and smartfans, and thats with 0308/0310 AQUCA's, some of the newer AQXEA's do those speeds close to stock voltage! Hopefully I can prove it when I get my new barton :)

It is a very big shame Athlon 64 doesn't try that. 2.5GHZ is reachable.

What AMD could do is release those rare chips as a special model serie, some "Overdrive"-like thing. Limited amounts of extremely high clocked chips, but OEM since the Retail fans are often not enough. 2.5GHZ is a big step forward should AMD try to compete with it. And that would become deadly if it were an A64.

But, that still leaves much to be desired, as no one knows just how high-clocked, if not (pessimistic) how low-clocked will the A64s be at release. Sept. 23rd will answer all our questions.
