Question Freesync, 5700XT and 49" 144hz monitor - tearing and flickering

Hey all,

I recently invested in a new machine
ASUS TUF Plus 570X Mobo
Ryzen 5 5600
5700XT

49" 144hz Samsung curved monitor using high performance display port cable.

The curved monitor has freesync options: Off, Standard Engine or Ultimate Engine.
I have the AMD driver installed version 19.12.2

I have two issues...

1. Every couple of minutes there will be a black/fuzzy bar flicker on the screen about 1/6th from the top, about 3" high.
2. If I use standard or ultimate engine for freesync and open warzone or pubg, there will be a faint black flickering

Please help?

try turning off freesync first.
