Freesync and Fast Sync

Hello everyone!

I'm building a new computer. The monitor I bought is a 75Hz monitor that uses the Freesync technology, so I ordered an RX 580 gpu. However, despite the store's website saying the gpu should arrive in around 5 days when I ordered it, it apparently ran out of stock and will take another month to arrive so I was thinking of canceling the order and just getting a GTX 1060. Also the Radeon costs around 20EUR more than the 1060 I'm looking at. All my other parts (including the monitor) arrived already and are just laying there. I ordered 2 weeks and the wait is killing me.I can't find another Radeon in stock for the same price.

So, the question is, should I cancel my order and just buy an nVidia GTX 1060 monitor from the local store? I read about nVidia Fast Sync and it seems pretty decent. Will a casual-ish player like me notice any difference between FreeSync and Fast Sync (I am planning to play mostly PUBG, Witcher, GTA and Dota 2)?

TL;DR: Is FreeSync worth an extra 20 euros+a month of waiting or is nVidia Fast Sync good enough.

Cryptocurrency is what is causing these videocard price and supply issues.

My understanding of fast sync is it only helps when your framerate is higher than your refresh rate. So in your case you'll only get benefits at 75fps or higher.

I feel that if you spent more money on that monitor in order to get the freesync feature, you should get the AMD card. If you don't mind wasting that money, or if the monitor did not cost more than your non freesync alternative options, then the Nvidia card is an option.
