Freesync monitor and Nvidia GPU?

Are there any issues with using a 75hz freesync monitor with a gtx 1060? Do I need to use v-sync? If I do need to use it then how will v-sync affect gameplay?

I run an ASUS 27" 144Hz FreeSync monitor alongside the Lenovo Legion Y920, which has an NVIDIA GTX 1070 GPU. I have had zero issues. In fact, as long as I'm within the FreeSync Hz threshold of 30-90 Hz, the monitor shows FreeSync as "enabled" while I'm gaming. Recently I played through Wolfenstein 2 and set the adaptive sync properties to expect FS or GS and it totally worked. I was at 90 FPS in 1440p on ultra graphics for the full 14 hours. Glorious.

I should stress that your mileage may vary. I can't tell you if I'm actually getting the FreeSync benefits.
