freezes @ verifying dmi pool data...

i am building a system for a friend.
all i have installed so far is::
-tbird 950
-abit kt7 (no raid)
-3x 256mb pc133 syncmax
-gts2 video
-floppy drive
bios settings look cool.
post seems to run fine til i get to
verifying dmi pool data...
and then it just freezes.

any ideas?

i have built about 3 other systems
with almost identical components,
but this is the first time i have
ever encountered this.
i am trying to boot from a boot
disk.

After DMI is verified then POST is done and then the computer looks for a bootable device. Try sticking a HD in an see what it does. It's got to be something to do with a boot device.

Are you using native ide for hd, or is there a fast ide controller on the board? if latter, enable first boot device as 'add on bootable card' in the boot sequence routine.
