Frequent "Thread Stuck in device driver" BSOD error

This error keeps happening, daily at this point. It happens pretty much exclusively as I'm browsing with chrome or idle, never had any crashes while playing games.

Using Whocrashed to look at the dumps it pegs the issue on the following drivers:

28/02 (today): dxgkrnl.sys + atikmdag.sys

27/02 : dxgkrnl.sys

26/02: dxgkrnl.sys


My gpu is barely 2 months old (Rx 470) and as i said above, it NEVER happens when i'm actually "straining" the gpu with games.

The weirdest part is that after that first crash it stays stable for the rest of the day (this is over 10 hours of use vs less than 1 for the first crash....)

I have updated my drivers and clean installed them multiple times (the gpu ones anyway), this is really frustrating.

My specs in case it helps:

CPU: I5 3550

GPU : MSI Gaming x Rx 470 4gb

Mobo: Asus p8h77-m

PSU: xfx ts 550w bronze

I ran it a little over a month ago i think, will run it again during the night today i guess.
