So I re-installed Windows 7 tonight hoping to fix some performance issues I was having. During the re-installation I noticed that my mouse had stopped working but didn't think much of it and used my keyboard to finish installing Windows 7. When it finally finished and booted to the desktop, the mouse still wasn't working. It's not a USB problem because my keyboard is plugged into a USB port and works fine, and I've tried each of my many USB ports to no avail. However when I boot into the UEFI BIOS the mouse works perfectly fine, and even when it's not being recognized it's still lit up.
FWIW, The mouse I'm using is the Razer Abyssus and my mobo is the Z77 ASRock Extreme 4. I'm also not able to connect to the internet but I assume that once the chipset drivers from the ASRock installation CD are installed everything will run normally. Unfortunately I can't initiate the installation with the keyboard alone, so I need to figure out a way to get this mouse working or run out and buy another one and hope it works. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?
