Friend thinks Amd A6-6310 is powerful enough for 1050 ti

So, my friend thinks his pc with a Amd A6-6310 is powerful enough for 1050 ti. For some reason he doesn't believe me when I try explaining to him that the CPU will bottleneck the GPU so much. Can you brilliant forum posters help me explain that it won't work.

10 years ago I bought a decent quad core CPU. It would still flog that.
Of all the CPUs ever made ~70% are faster than that.

Still not convinced, this benchmark for Prey shows using a GTX 1060 and an i5 6500 (which is ~2.5x as powerful) never drops below 80% usage while playing.
