Question Friend's PC disconnects from internet whenever he starts a Steam download and Discord is active ?

Hey all, trying to help a friend fix an issue he's been having for awhile. Whenever he goes to download a game via Steam and he is connected the Discord his PC will disconnect from internet for about 30 seconds. This also happens if Discord is not active and then he connects to it mid download. After it happens once it stops for awhile, at a loss. ISP is Verizon, 1GB fiber.

What BIOS version is the motherboard currently on? Check to see if the OS is pending any updates. Following that, you can manually reinstall the chipset driver for the platform, sourced from AMD's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

GO into Device Manger and uninstall your networking adapter's drivers. Then manually reinstall as stated above.
