From Coax to Ethernet

So i have been working on a old room last week, and getting done, but i want Ethernet connection on the room, i tried to get a cable down there but it dident fit trough the cable because other cables.

But, there is already a Coax connection in the room, so if i can get the coax cable into a router that support that input or a adapter.

I tried to look some routers but dident find any that i could use.
If i could get a single unit that would be the best ofc, but if i need a adapter that will work aswell.
I'll need 2-5 ports out, Wifi is not needed.

well, 10base2 (coax) to twisted pair converters have gone rare and as such, expensive.

350 each. one needed for each end, no optional switch for multiple computers on either end.
finding actual reseller and price for other media converters seems to be surprisingly hard.

but at 89 each instead of 350, it is a better solution.
10base2 and media converter keywords go long way if you use search engines.

As side note, bear in mind that tv/antenna coax cable is NOT same as the old coax used in 10base2 computer networks. it would most likely work but it also could not work.
I think the main difference was the impedance of cable, 50ohm in computers, 75 in tv or.. was it other way around?

I dont have much knowledge of the coax cable that is being used if there is a difference of them.
All i know is that that the coax cable in 2nd floor is going into our modem and then a ethernet cable to our router.

As i remember in my head at this moment there is a black and a white coax cable in that room, idk if that makes a different. (depends if coax is color coded, idk) but i'll update this post if its wrong.

You can look at what is called a MoCA device. This runs ethernet over tv coax. You really should have rg6 coax but rg59 works but not as good.

The biggest issue with moca and why they are not real popular other than they are expensive is that cable tv/direct-tv use this technology to use their anyroom dvr stuff. This is how they send video between the devices. If you to not have those type of devices the MOCA should work again dependent on the quality and layout of the cabing in your house.
