Front Headphone Jack

I recentally built a new PC but when I plug in headphones into the headphone jack in the front, there is sound coming from it but its weird. I can hear the background sounds of a video but when people are talking, I can hardley hear them. I have the ASUS m5a78l-mUSB motherboard and a NZXT s210 case. Any help would be appreciated.

Is the cable plugged all the way in? Make sure you have the audio drivers for your motherboard installed. Also, make sure you're plugged in the HD AUDIO cable into the motherboard header, not the AC'97. Make sure all connections are firm. If nothing else works then I'd say it's the headphone jack what's faulty.

Nope, I only have the background music still and the dialogue is very low.
