[SOLVED] Front I/O USB 3.0 connector not plugging into MB?

Recently purchased a ASUS Crosshair VIII Dark Hero and the front IO USB 3.0 header does not seem to be plugging in properly. Wondering if its the case header that's broken or on the motherboard side. Case I have is a Phanteks 719.

the front IO USB 3.0 header does not seem to be plugging in properly.

check carefully that both cable and header are not damaged with bent pins or mangled connector.
sometimes working them in at a very slight angle angled towards the middle tab will allow them to fit together easier.
