Hi, I found an old IBM thinkcentre case at an old shop and paid Rs.230 for it(3.8$-> thats a lot in this country)

The case came with this front panel USB and audio connector:

My question is: Are those broken USB ports, or some new thingy that I've not heard about?

Also, I'm not sure where to fix the audio ports, you can see the pin connectors in the picture. I have a similar type of pins on the motherboard titled JAUD1.
The manual says that this port is for front panel audio connectors, so I think thats where it should go, but I thought I could check with you guys, so am I right?

Thanks!

Hi KDakshin
Yes the usb ports do look damaged not sure about your audio
your best solution may be to buy a new front panel for either your 5.25bay or 3.5 bay such as one of these ,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813999356

they will mount in the front of your case the same as an optical drive or floppy drive and you can connect your audio via the motherboard audio header and
the usb ports via the usb header on your motherboard

Thanks a lot michyphoenix, but that's not necessary. I decided to take the plunge and plugged the audio panel in anyway

And guess what? It works!

And by the way, newegg does not ship to my country, India.
Does anyone know of another such company with international shipping?
