Build Advice Front panel isn't working on NZXT h500

Just finished building a pc and the front panel isn't working properly. The power button works turning on, but I can't turn the power off, even when I hold it down. I have to turn off the power supply, which I assume isn't very safe. The usb ports, microphone, and headphone jack don't either. I don't have Windows installed on it yet as it won't connect to my monitor, but that's another issue. I think when I installed my gpu it was originally mushing against the front panel cable, so maybe I could have damaged it? Or maybe it only works with an OS installed or something. I'm confused, any help?

Front Panel Audio is a separate connector, please be sure its plugged in.
Also , in the bios, match the FP Audio type (HD or SC97) to what it says on the case's FP connector. Some cases have both connectors, I prefer HD.
