I am looking to add some USB 3.0 ports through a pcie connector and started thinking i could replace my front panel and use and extension cable to my pcie port from the front. Does a front panel like this exist? Is there a rear panel like this? I have tried searching online but don't know what to search for.

I only have one extra pcie port so I can't get a sound card and this.

I want a new sound plug so I can use my gaming headset without an adaptor.

Usually do this using Motherboard's USB connector ... might as well get card reader functions while you at it

personally, I suggest a **self powered** USB hub... I mount this one on the vertical part pf the monitor stand w/ a rubberband. It stand up on its own but with cables plugged in, it can get a little tipsy

Not sure why you would want to use PCIE when so many USB ports available. Also don't see why you would need 3.0 as these are only really useful for storage devices, using for Kbs, mice , headphnes is a waste.

TRRS is pretty rare as far as I gave seen on desktops(some notebooks do use it however).

If you use headphones only you may be able to make an adapter to combine headphones(L+R) and Mic from the back and run it into the case and to the front port. A panel mount 3.5mm(1/8 inch) jack could be mounted to a hole drilled into the case panel or optical drive panel(in an empty bay).

The key here is panel mount since they just go into a hole and get held on with a nut(no other support required.). Watch out for snap-in ones as they are not friendly to remove if you have issues later.

You may also be able to modify a normal HD audio plug to run to a panel mount TRRS jack.

USB should be easy enough to find and some cases even offer an upgrade for it.
