Front USB 3.0 not working with Gigabyte B250 HD3P

Hey guys,

I just got my new PC and I wanted to install a USB 3.0 front panel for use with the Oculus Rift sensors.

I can't get the USB to work though. I have another panel with USB 2.0 slots which works fine and the back USB 3.0 works fine as well.
This is what the device manager says (sorry it is partially in german):

The one with the usb stick in it, is the one causing problems.

Then try enabling XHCI hands off (also download latest drivers from your motherboard manufacturer website and install them)

I downloaded the latest IntelUSB3.0 drivers from the manufacturers website. But when I run setup.exe, I get an error message telling me that my system doesn't meet the minimum requirements. I also tried turning on XHCI hands off, but that didn't do anything either.

The OS is Windows 10 Pro N 64bit. Let me know if you need to know more.

I use the Oculus App, but it doesn't even recognize the USB stick that I plugged in.

I downloaded the USB troubleshooting utility, but in my case it doesn't detect any problems. I also formatted my SSD and did a clean reinstall of windows and updated it to the latest version. The problem still persists. I will try running the repair tool from the disc though, just to be sure.

EDIT: Windows Repair didn't do anything. Probably because it didn't detect any problems in the first place.

Then I think it is a hardware problem try using a different internal cable between usb port on the case and internal motherboard pins (which you have shown in one of the pics)
