This morning I went to plug an external hard drive into my computer (a Bolt II from Digital Storm that's running Windows 8, if that helps any), and the computer did its usual jingle, letting me know that it recognized the device. However, my hand slipped and I accidentally pulled the cable out. Since then nothing that gets plugged into the front panel USB ports or even card reader gets recognized.
I tried to fix it in the device manager by scanning for hardware changes, and finally went and did a system restore. No such luck. I couldn't see anything particularly weird when I removed the side panel, but it's very difficult to see anything and get to anything in this particular tower.
Since my mouse, keyboard, printer, and display are all plugged into the back, I can easily use the computer; it's just that it's a huge pain to get to the back of the tower.
Oh, and I tried leaving it off for a while, too.
