I'm not saying anyhing against LG. I didn't play SS but it seems to be the
milestone others here claim it to be and I really loved the Thief series.
But SS2 for me is just a cashin on SS and not done very well in comparison
to other contempary games. Was this even done by the original LG people?

Because they can't spell menu?

You want everyone to fight pirates by joining a "pc gamers against piracy
group"; but only if they don't talk about steam?

You want to be in a group that cuts steam from the agenda, and the group
would be "pc gamers fighting steam"?

The number of units sold is only half the equation. The other half is how
much was the developement/production cost? If only they reported the
numbers like they do for the movies.

Movie X cost $200M and netted $150M at the box office. (bust)
Movie Z cost $4M and netted $20M at the box office. (winner)

So even if HL2 sells 3 million units @ $40 (USD), but developement cost is
$500million, then its a bust. Assuming I did my math correctly. 😉

(note: these numbers are just used for example only; not meant to reflect
real world, ....)

no! i didn't write that... or again its my awful english
what i wrote or what i meant to say was i would join a group fighting
piracy and don't talk about the issues involving steam, cause for me
steam promotes piracy, so that pro-steam gamers that want to also fight
piracy would not be offended

> You want to be in a group that cuts steam from the agenda, and the group

oh please... i misspelled it... its "pc gamers fighting piracy", i wrote
it wrong...
you guys from the pro-steam adore to find my mistakes... i bet you find
it a personal victory when it happens

but going back to the main issue... would you join a group of pc gamers
fighting piracy? and would you accept me as a member? i would promise
that i would not talk about steam... at least at first... but later we
would have to deal with it, cause steam promotes piracy, steam is the
first system to FORCE pc gamers into piracy, so if we want to fight
piracy we have to fight steam... but at first i would not mind putting
steam aside... so what do you say?

its only in the hands of every pc gamer defend what he likes the most
its only pc gamers who will lose with piracy cause the publishers and
developers will find other businesses to work in without being robbed

No problem. I'll be the first to admit that sometimes what I say or write
isn't what I meant. Amazing how my mind is thinking one thing, and my
hands/voice say something completely different.

Again, no problem. It's just that it didn't make cents to me when I red it.
😉

Let him who hasn't made a missteak cast the first stone.

BTW I enjoy chatting with you. And I understand English isn't your first
language. So if I ask for you to clarify something, please don't take it
personnel.

Would I join and can you be accepted? Maybe and yes. Maybe, cause maybe
the club wouldn't want me as a member. :)

What do you see the group doing that would help fight piracy?

Groucho Marx, "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member."

No.
