I'm going to buy Gigabyte RX 570 4GB to play games untill I buy a new pc..Now I have FSP HEXA + 550W power supply..Is it okay for the graphic card..I know my power supply is not a high quality PSU..my system specs i5-4590, B85 Gigabyte mb and 8GB of RAM..2 LED fans

PSU configuration
  • +3.3V +5 123W
  • +12V1+12V2 432W
  • -12V+5Vsb 18.5W

Solution
All good psu's.

The Seasonic Focus being the best, the Antec is made on the same platform (means same internals, maybe with some minor changes)
After those the Corsair TXM. And lastly the Seasonic G650,not because it's bad,but simply because it's already an older platform/series.

Choice kinda depends on what you have to pay for them. If the TXM is very much cheaper is it still a good choice,if the Focus isn't much more expensive than the others is it first pick.
Is it single rail or double rail? Is this you PSU? https://www.fsplifestyle.com/PROP174002278/
Single rail is better, double rail must be of higher wattage and be sure to use one rail for gpu and one for the cpu/motherboard.

Should be plenty enough if the specs still hold up and is single rail.

I use corsair vx550 for similar powered with rx570 4g, and an old q9550 OC-ed (about 130W i guess. 95TDP) -i'm changing the platform soon, i know the cpu bottlenecks the GPU.

Not the PSU that you have attached..I can't understand if it's double or single

It should be close but fine, and yes I was looking after 550W which only the HEXA+ had, and was single rail, while your initial info led to believe it was dual rail.

Dual rail psu-s have two smaller 12v regulators, and not really suited for one big load. So 18A for rx570 should be enough but keep in mind this card can draw up to 200W when benching and stress testing . That gives about 16.7amps max (but if the psu voltage dips a bit to 11.8V then the current will increase to over 17A)
On the flip side, gaming is less intense then synthetic tests and only draws 100-150W max in real life.

So it's a bit of a close call on dual rail. Make sure the GPU does not share the load with motherboard or hdds.

The Single rail is better because you get more overhead on 36A even with the CPU on the same rail.

Well thought it wasn't yours looking at your reply, think you have this one,
HEXA+ 500W | Power Supply | FspLifeStyle
is not 550watt btw so his confusion is understandable.

It's starting to get old and as said not the best so look at upgrading it when possible.Think you can still try.

No my PSU is 550W..I think FSP not selling that 550W model right now..I attached some pics below..

https://goo.gl/images/vJXP2V

I know FSP is not the best PSU brand in the market..I saw some people saying FSP Hexa+ series is total junk and not suitable for gaming..Is it really true ? I don't over clock or overstress the CPU or GPU.

(I used this PSU to power up older 200W+ power hungry Sapphire R9 280..I used that card for 3 years and recently dead(No display)

Should I really buy new PSU
I'm very tight on budget and PSUs are over prized in my country..Should I go for a PSU like Coolerr MWE 550W (80+ Bronze) or
450W PSU enough (CM MWE 450 (80+ certified) or Corsair VS 450 (No certification)

If my current PSU is just fine I don't want to buy a new PSU..As I mentioned above Branded PSU prices are really high in my country

My other components are Core i5-4590, B85 MB and 2xDDR3 4GB and 2xHDD

I really appreciate your cooperation..May I know How I make sure that Graphic card doesn't share the load with Mother Board or CPU

Don't think those MWE from Cooler Master are that much better so just try it with what you have,as said do i think you'll be fine with it. The age might begin to show so if that new gpu will use too much power will it show soon enough like weird uncommon stutters or at worst your pc shutting down..

My dear friends..Today I have a new question.. Recently I got a good deal for Asus Strix GTX 980..Can I run it in my system ? I got 18A+18A=36Amps=432W in 12V rails 🙄

For that one would i get a new psu. That one uses substantially more power. But if the deal is that good maybe you have money left for a better psu?
Actually no money left to buy a PSU bro 😩
Asus Strix GTX 980 is more expensive than RX 570..But I think GTX 980 is a better deal because It was 9th generation higher end model and runs neck to neck with GTX 1060 6G (GTX 1060 is yet more expensive)

GTX 980 uses 185W-200W..Isn't it ?
I like to try it..Will the GPU burn if I try it with my current PSU ?

How to identify the PSU is over loaded ?

I have another option RX 580 4G
(RX 580 wins in AMD optimized Vulken games..but most of the other games GTX 980 wins by a tiny margin) Then much newer RX 580 4G should be my option ?

What is the best PSU for the RX 570 among the following powr supplies

1. Cooler Master MasterWatt 750 80+ Bronze

2. Corsair CX650M 650W 80+ Bronze

3.Gigabyte G750H 750W 80+Gold

All are way over what you need concerning wattage and as said could you even try with your old one looking at the RX 570. But if you want to invest is the CXM650watt the most well known. Don't see alot of negatives about the Gigabyte so wouldn't have a problem with that one myself as well. You do only need a good quality 550watt btw. It was just the quality and the way the +12V rails are set up that has my concerns with your current psu, especially with higher wattage using gpu's.

You linked the CX600M btw,so not as good as the CXM 650watt and the Gigabyte. Make sure you get from Corsair the black/grey (white) version.

Bro I think my PSU has overloaded or something happened..When I was playing a game display went off and heard huge buzzing noise from the PSU..I got scared and unplugged the PC..next time I switched on the PC again and it worked fine without error as usual..but I switched off the computer to prevent further damages to my system..So that electric noise means I badly need a new PSU..So I'm looking for a new PSU..

May be my attached picture is wrong but I meant that Corsair CX650M 80+ Bronze Gray colour one (Tire 3)

But I have another few options

Corsair TX550M 80+ Gold
SeaSonic Focus 650M 80+ Gold
Antec EarthWatts EA550G 80+ Gold
SeaSonic G650 80+ Gold

I think the above Power Supply Unites are belongs to Tier 2 Category and lasts long my components..What is your recommendation from the above PSUs ? Now I understood the importance of a good PSU..So I think I need an affordable top tier PSU to my rig to get the best outta it

I bought the Latest SeaSonic Focus Plus 650W 80+ Gold Semi Modular PSU..I think it has plenty of power to run my rig..Super Silent and Runs much cooler (Even if I touch it no heat at all)..Thanks for being helpful to choose this PSU

Yup, you can run any GPU you choose on that PSU! It's an excellent choice and I'm glad you took a step up on quality.
Brother Black screen and Buzzing sound from the speaker while playing Metro Exodus (WW2, Titan Fall 2 also same problem) is that a faulty GPU ? should I change the GPU ? (When I switched to my older Nvidia GPU nothing wrong)
