My PC spec is :
  • Ryzen 7 5700X3D
  • Adata XPG 3200mhz x 4
  • Asrock b450 pro r.2
  • MSI Spatium 470 Pro 2tb as game drive
  • Adata XPG nvme SSD 512gb as boot drive
  • Seagate barracuda 2tb as bulk drive
  • Zotac 4080 super trinity
  • MSI MAG 850w 80 gold
  • Pcie wifi Bluetooth card

Here are the settings:
  1. set PBO to -20
  2. set GPu at 975mv 2600mhz +1100mhz
  3. ram at default 2666mhz

Here's the chronology:
  1. I play monster hunter wilds when suddenly it got bsod, since it's happened suddenly I didn't look at the error code
  2. PC turn back on and prepare windows repair but freeze
  3. I press restart button and notice the only CPU fan didn't spin but the rgb on, chassis fan is okay
  4. PC stuck in boot loop, sending display signal that cause display to wake but nothing show up
  5. Try troubleshooting, that is :
    1. Turning off the system and try boot with minimal component
    2. Try boot with my 5600g backup cpu
    3. Try with no gpu
    4. Try 1 and 2 stick ram config
    5. Try only installing the boot drive only
  6. Then I try to CMOS clearing and the fan now spinning, do note when I done all troubleshoot step above the CPU fan still not spinning. But there is still no display
From what I search probably is my motherboard is okay but the bios is corrupted and I need to inject the default bios (which I can't do) or replace the motherboard

Is the only solution is replacing the motherboard?
Is there any troubleshooting step that I haven't taken?

Will the system boot into Safe Mode?

Did you clear CMOS using the procedure provided via the Motherboard's User Guide/Manual?

Are you able to access the BIOS menus? Look for verbose mode so the system will report what it is doing (or trying to do) during the boot process.

System won't boot at all, even the bios splash screen didn't show up

For the clear CMOS procedure I use the unplug all power connector, take out CMOS, press power button 30 second, and leave the system around around 30 minutes, insert CMOS, then boot it up

This motherboard?

https://download.asrock.com/Manual/B450M Pro4 R2.0.pdf

[Verify that I found the applicable manual.]

Section 2.5 Jumpers Setup on physically numbered Page 27 explains how to correctly clear CMOS.

From the page:

"CLRCMOS1 allows you to clear the data in CMOS. To clear and reset the system parameters to default setup, please turn off the computer and unplug the power cord from the power supply. After waiting for 15 seconds, use a jumper cap to short the pins on CLRCMOS1 for 5 seconds. However, please do not clear the CMOS right after you update the BIOS. If you need to clear the CMOS when you just finish updating the BIOS, you must boot up the system first, and then shut it down before you do the clear-CMOS action. Please be noted that the password, date, time, and user default profile will be cleared only if the CMOS battery is removed. Please remember toremove the jumper cap after clearing the CMOS."
And note the comment in the magnifying glass box:

"If you clear the CMOS, the case open may be detected. Please adjust the BIOS option “Clear Status” to clear the record of previous chassis intrusion status."

= = = =

However, before doing anything read/review the entire manual and double check everything. Pay close attention to all fine print, warnings, and instructions to go online for up-to-date information.

Take your time, read carefully, double check everything. Hopefully there is only some error of omission or commision that can be corrected.

I didn't know in the manual there is CMOS reset section, thanks for informing me!

I will try that and update the result as soon as possible.

Okay this the update,

Problem is solved.

I don't know why but after around 4 times resetting the CMOS somehow my computer is able to boot normally and the bios wasn't corrupted. If I remember correctly 2 time using my method and 2 time using the asrock manual method.

For safety reason I also now update the bios to latest version and test it by playing Monster Hunter Wilds for 2 hours and no problems whatsoever.

Unfortunately I already bought a new motherboard, but now I don't need it I don't know what I am going to do with it.

I guess I am lucky and unlucky at same time?
