So after installing FSX and playing it 1 time I had to close it after about 5 minutes. I came back to play it again and it all worked fine. Picked my aircraft location etc and hit "FLY". So the loading started but to forever. It finishes loading and I hear the plane going but all I see is my desktop. It says the game is running but when i click on it nothing comes up. I tryed deleting my log file and my cfg and nothing worked. I reinstalled and was able to play again. Closed it and restarted and boom couldn't play again. So really after every flight I need to repair or reinstall the game.
I'm using Windows 7 64 bit
MSI 7870
Intel i7

Solution
Have you tried running it in compatibility mode or as administrator?

What are your ingame settings?

I have similar specs and I've never had this issue, however I'm not surprised that something happened, since FSX is not very well made.

Wow, that's strange...

I'm wondering if there's any way to check what files get changed on your PC before and after FSX is run, since that could pinpoint what is being changed and what is messing it up.

Since you've said you tried deleting the log file and cfg file, that might not be it, but try opening it on a fresh installation and comparing the text inside them to the text inside them after running the game. If there's a difference, that could be helpful information.

Ok i'll start installing it now. What should I take pictures of exactly?

Try making a pastebin of the config and log files before and after your first run, then link here. I'll look for any differences, maybe there will be something that could be changed.

So I somehow fixed the problem. http://gyazo.com/ee0e19b6187a6847f6850c9ee6961e08

So, it just randomly started working? That's strange... It's technically good, since, well, it's working, but it's also unfortunate because now you probably won't be able to find out what was wrong.

And it stopped again. No clue what could be causing this.
