Question fTPM Message on Every Boot After Motherboard Change

Hello,

I installed a new motherboard but did not change the CPU. I'm getting the following message on every boot:

New CPU installed, fTPM/PSP NV corrupted or fTPM/PSP NV structure changed.

Press Y to reset fTPM, if you have BitLocker or encryption enabled, the system will not boot without a recovery key

Press N to keep previous fTPM record and continue system boot, fTPM will NOT enable in new CPU, you can swap back to the old CPU to recover TPM related Keys and data.

I do not have BitLocker or encryption enabled. Pressing Y does nothing, N will boot the system normally. How do I get rid of this permanently? I thought about switching fTPM off and back on but am unsure of the implications of this.

What motherboard did you swap from, to? What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? On that note, you should reinstall the OS after the motherboard swap.

Switched from an ASUS B650E-F to an ASUS Crosshair X870E Hero. The BIOS version is 1203.

english and german keyboards have 'Y' and 'Z' interchanged. perhaps pressing 'Z' would succeed, depends on your keyboard and language definition.
