how can i have full screen on command prompt or cmd.exe in windows 7?

That doesn't let you make the prompt full screen. I don't think you can do this; I'm not sure why you would want to.

No it doesn't let you have it full screen, but it does let you make the command prompt window as big as you like. Better than nothing.

Alt-Enter works in XP. Don't know if it still works in Vista or 7.

Hai vleri we cant able to view the full screen in windows 7 but we can able to maximize the windows into full screen .

1. open the command prompt
2. type wmic and click enter it looks full screen .
3. in tht maximize button right click and select quick mode..

now u can use the full screen mode in windows 7 also...

Full screen command prompts can be "emulated" by external software. (though the experience isn't good as a real one gives us)

Try WMIC cmd in cmd prompt.

Open cmd, type wmic. Then, double click the bar to maximize the screen. Then type exit (enter).
You are now in the regular command prompt in a maximized window.

"Click Start and type CMD, but don't hit enter or click on cmd.exe.
Right-click cmd.exe above and choose Run as administrator.
Respond to the UAC prompt.
In the command prompt enter WMIC--you'll get a different prompt for Windows Management Instrumentation Control (but you're not going to actually DO anything with WMI).

In windows 7 ,To change the screen size and buffer size, right click on the icon in the top left corner of the Command Prompt window and choose Properties. Then click on layout.
A good buffer size is height 300, whereas a good screen size is height between 25 and 50.

I have permanet solutions for this in windows 7 if you installed HD Graphics software in win 7 sys pls uninstall the same and reboot that pc and check 100% it will work....

Actually, this is very easy to do...

1. Make a note of your screen resolution (1024 x 762 etc.)
2. On your desktop, create a shortcut to cmd.exe.
3. Once the shortcut has been created, right click it and select properties.
4. In the properties, select the 'Layout' tab and simply enter your screen size into the buffer size and layout size.

Hey presto, full screen.

For those of you that don't understand the 'need' for this, you are probably too young to remember DOS and even today, if I have problems with windows and permissions, it is more often that not easier to resolve in a DOS screen than from within window....
