Full Tower vs mid tower

What are all the advantages of a full tower case over the mid tower case (for a system using aftermarket air cooler only for CPU overclocking, no special cooling system)? Should I need a full tower case for this kind of system? (not going to build any, just to know)

Mainly case size allows larger components and typically better/more cooling mounts.

If you plan on doing CPU overclocking, then I would definitely recommend a full tower case because it will allow a larger aftermarket cooler and more room for better airflow and quieter fans/cooling. I use a Thor V2 which is a full tower case and have a large Phanteks CPU cooler(pretty sure thats the one it is...kinda tired right now). The case itself has several fans pre installed. I have not overclocked my CPU yet...don't need to yet. But it still runs very cool. My room is typically 74 - 78 degrees F. And the pc typically runs in the 30 - 32 C range at normal workload and low 40s C for motherboard/CPU while several hours of heavy gaming. The GPU will hit in the mid 60s C max while under the several hours of heavy gaming. So full tower helped have the room for the larger and more fans....so better cooling. It all really comes down to the case.

^Some mid towers are larger than others though, so they can have more fans.
My 300mm long GPUs look kinda small in my Corsair 500R, and they both sit around 50C, even while playing Crysis 3 and BF4.
