Hi everyone,
I bought a new rig about 6 months ago and despite the rule of thumb that full screen mode devotes more resources to a game than Windowed borderless does, all my games (metal gear solid 5, withcer 3, Fallout 4, Batman Arkham Knight etc) all run smoother and with a higher frame rate in windowed mode, with the same game settings applied. Even after removing 30fps locks etc in the ini files etc (which can cause jerky frame rate) they still run better in windowed mode.
Is this just because games are built to run better in windowed mode now?
Any thoughts appreciated.
