What, the e also known as ecstacy or MDMA or the blue e known as a
floating eye?

Wouldn't that be a y (black light)?

I don't know of a drug called y, but e is, among other things, supposed to
improve your awareness of the people around you.

There is also P, which (incorrectly) causes a bad case of stomach _acid_.
maby P should cause some sort of conf, Hallucination, fearlessnes, and
strength.

But, oddly enough, eating one doesn't make you confused. Apparently TDT
does not always TOE. Or perhaps they did, but thought that it might
cause trouble for NetHack in the Land of the "Free".

[grass, blue e etc.]

Funnily, this prompted me to look at the code and discover that my long
standing assumption was wrong: Eating acid blobs does not, in fact, confer
sleep resistance. But I am quite sure that it once did. Was this
implemented in a previous version or in some variant?

I'm currently running a wizard in the area of the Quest
who had a few stashed spetums from trolls. I gave it a
try. Nice for eels in ponds, too. Worth going to
Skilled if I have the slots available to clean up ";"
on various water-containing levels and to wipe out the
occupants of the fort levels.

Below is some detailed rambling about skill slots and
wizard characters. If anyone is willing to take a look
and see if I understand the way skill slots work, please
let me know of mistakes:
