[SOLVED] Funny 4K display flickering problem with youtube site and videos

I've bought used sapphire RX580 nitro+ 4GB and new Asrock Phantom X570 Gaming4, Ryzen 7 5800X, 64GB RAM, SSD Seagate FireCuda 530 1TB(free 55% space), PSU Antec 600W VP600P (bought it in January 2018), Windows 10 latest update

Everything is fine except when I open youtube page - my two 4K displays start flickering in a matter of seconds and continue to do so until I close tab or open new one with anything else. Flickering apperas only on display that opened YT site, other 4K is working fine until I open YT on it also Flickering doesn't stop immediately - it depends how long YT page or video was open - if short - flickering stops shortly, if long then it persists for 10 minutes or so.

When I open YT on third 2K display everything works fine. If I use 2K resolution on 4K display then there is no flickering.

If I open YT video that is embedded on some other site - no flickering on 4K. Every other YT-like and porn video site works fine on 4K. FB videos work fine. Everything works fine. I was thinking video memory problems but games (tried few, I'm not player, Doom Eternal and AoE IV) and everything works fine, no artifacts. Tried different browsers (chrome, edge, opera) but no difference. YT apps for win 10 work without flickering.

Tried turning off hardware acceleration in settings of browser - flickering persists.

Drivers are up to date, tried DP and HDMI ports, different one - no difference. Tried different DP cables. I don't know what else to try or to do.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

My thought is that the problem may be power related.

Use Resource Monitor and Task Manager (use both but only one at a time) to observe system performance.

Compare the use of system resources between when the flickering occurs and when the flickering does not occur.

I tried it, it is somewhat the same. I didn't mention, but flickering is WAY MUCH visible when YT video is not in fullscreen mode or when I'm on starting YT page. If I want to worsen flickering then I hover on videos to see their preview. And when I go fullscreen flickering goes down. Also, there is something like "burn-in" effect on that display when I open new tab with dark background. It is not visible in computer screenshot. My immediate thought is that the PSU is at or nearing its designed in EOL (End of Life). The PSU is becoming less and less able to provide for or otherwise meet system power demands. Remember PSUs provide 3, 5, and 12 volts to various system components.

Failing or even faltering to provide any one or any combination of those voltages is going to cause system problems.

Do you have access to another known working PSU that you can swap into your system?

Do any of the monitors have freesync enabled? If so try the video with freesync disabled on all monitors. Also try the key combination control + shift + windows key + b to refresh the graphics driver prior to testing. What are the exact make and model of the monitors you are using?

Do you have access to another known working PSU that you can swap into your system?

It hasn't been under great workload but it has been used 24/7/365. It was in computer connected to TV for movie watching and nothing else. Was mining in jan 2018 with 1060 but only for month and half.
Monitors don't have freesync, I have two new Dell P2721Q and one Dell U2415 old 3yrs.

I sent YT feedback - literally copied what I wrote here and they changed something, screens don't flicker anymore! I don't know if it changed for everyone - start page when I hover over videos, they slightly enlarge and start playing but when I open videos it is still the same as always and there is zero flickering! Hahah great

UPDATE: it flickers again Opened start page - no flickering, went to look one video, few minutes in default view mode no flickering, entered fullscreen for few more minutes - no flickering. Then went back to start page - no flickering and entered another video - started flickering in maybe half minute which is improvement and it didn't do so much as before but gradually it got worse but not so much as before. Went back to start page - flickering started to calm down and in minute or so stopped. There is obviously something in code that makes my monitor flicker, I think it is in code of preview of videos because display doesn't flicker in updated start page video previews. I'm gonna send them update that they are on good track of solving problem

Try Resource monitor - run as admin. Open the window and drag to one side so you observe the Overview and then then individual tabs, CPU, Memory, Disk, Network separately as warranted.

Repeat the flickering tests that you have done before. Watch Resource Monitor Determine if some particular resource changes as the flickering comes and goes.

Note the small arrows in some column headers. Clicking the header will sort the column's values in ascending or descending order. Useful if the order is continually jumping up and down.

You may be able to trace the flickering to some particular component and then perhaps even a process.

Task Manager can be used in much the same way.

All in all I am still thinking PSU.

The PSU may be able to meet some combinations of power demands but not others. When not able to meet a particular power situation - then the flickering happens.
