So after installing the latest beta drivers for my 6950 and the latest beta of msi afterburner i decided to test my gpu again with furmark. Shockingly i got a score of ~450ish instead of the ~2300 i'm used to when i selected "benchmark preset 1080".

At first i looked at voltages and clocks but every thing was fine. Then i noticed it said x8 msaa in the furmark results. No matter what i set the aa level to in furmark, it always gives x8. even on a custom burn in.

I checked ccc to make sure it wasn't being forced and it wasn't.

I'm not sure if it happens in games, is there an easy way to tell? (besides performance drop)

Solution
Okay, nvm i fixed it. I just slid the aa mode bar on the ccc application settings over to super sample, hit apply and it gave me control again. (i was able to change it back to multi-sample afterwards too.)

It's funny though because i had already tried hitting the "defaults" button and it hadn't worked.

Must have been some bug that game from not uninstalling and driver sweeping before upgrading (i was feeling lazy and hey, ccc and it's drivers are meant to be "upgradeable").

Too bad I can't select myself for best answer like on stack overflow.
