Further help with first build and GPU

Previously, I had an issue with starting up my gpu. I fixed that issue, but now there is no output! I've already looked at the solution list and tried switching RAM slots, etc. but no luck. I am using HDMI and all fans and LEDs are functioning. Please help!

did you power your card?

plug into the motherboard and see if you can get into the bios to change the primary display to the PCI slot{GPU}

if non works, CMOS reset

I don't have an onboard hdmi port... Also, how does one CMOS reset? The motherboard manual says to short it, which I'm not sure how to do. And yes, I do have the GPU plugged in completely, along with all other connections on the PC.
