Im planning on building my first gaming rig. my budget is around 650-700$

heres what i was thinking of getting:
cpu : fx 6300
gpu: gtx 760 or r9 270x
mobo: asus m5a97 / asrock 970 extreme 3
psu: http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Stallion-Power-Supply-RD500-2DB/dp/B004GL9NVG/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1395974717&sr=1-5
memory : http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Desktop-Memory-CML8GX3M2A1600C9/dp/B00569K7LM/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1395974938&sr=1-1

my concern is, will this setup keep up with future games say 2 years from now. if not please give me some suggestions

Solution
this is just my opinion, build a decent setup now, then upgrade the gpu (or whatever you want/need), 2yrs after. dont stop saving so it won't be too heavy on the pocket when you need to dish out 200-300 bucks

what card would you suggest i get?

In reality 780 or r9-290 but realistically the more you can spend now the longer it should be able to play games at higher resolutions. It also depends on what your monitor setup will be as playing higher resoutions/multi monitor will require more vram.

Go with the i7 4770k, an asus z87 mobo, a gtx 780ti, and 16 gigs a ram with evry slot filled on the mobo. This should be good for a lot of things. Or you c

based on experience, gpu's grow old faster than cpu. i mean, usually i upgrade gpu, cpu not as much. given that you already have a decent one.

now, i have a 2500k, it's a bit old given the number of generations after it. but its @4ghz, which is fast for my needs, i can push it to 4.5ghz, but based on the games that i play it does not give me any benefit and it runs hotter.

one thing i dont like when buying high end (like a 780ti or titan, i have a 670 btw) is that sure it will last you a long time based on performance, but gpu's are becoming more power efficient (look at the 750). so if you have an older card, it can be powerful but power hungry.
my friends used to own a sli 580, it was fast but they were hot and power hungry

as always, just my 2 cents

Yes definitely, if you wanted to play at ultra settings, SLI 2 780tis. That will give you max performance for at least 4 years. Or you could try two titan blacks(gtx 780ti superclocked) That's just my idea.

i cant afford 780 ti.. i just want this rig to still play future games even in normal settings. ultra high settings is not that important to me. i just want a rig that will get obsolete in a years time
