Futuremark reports on Nvidia driver cheats

Duh!! gee do you think they might have cheated in the Doom demo as well?

Naaa, no way, Nvidia would never do that [sarcasm]. Nvidia is losing a level of trust from the crowd that helped build them to where they are now. It also seems that the level of knowledge of the general buyer about video cards goes up as the technology advances making it harder for them to sneek something by. Personally I take the Doom numbers with a grain of salt.

besides, the product is unfinished. maybe ATI is developing their drivers to be tuned for the game around its release date?

wat good are framerates on a beta anyways. not trying to defend ATI, well maybe a little

look at the 8500. when it first was released, it SUCKED cause the drivers suckd. now its dam near on par with a TI4200. so im going to wait and then make my decision
