fx 4130 r7 260x gaming

i havefx 4130 and r7 260x with 4gb i wanna know how it would run on dayz(not standalone) and arma 3 also im upgrading to i5 4460 in couple of months and want to know what performance im gonna get before and after upgrading

Well your 4130 should be able to handle those 2 games fine .. But the GPU the 260 isn't your strong point in your system ..You would get much Higher FPS with a faster card say a 280 or higher... Or A Nvidia card... Now the I5 is going to be a bit much faster then the AMD in whole.. But again the weak point of your system is the r 260x also you may want to add another 4 gig of ram because all systems run better in dual channel then single. Example 2x4 =8 in dual 1X4 = 4 Single channel....

Almost pointless upgrading to an i5 with that setup, the CPU will do fine with DayZ and Arma 3. (there will be minimal increase due to games running mostly off the GPU).

As for the GPU, at 1080p, your system will be fine with the R7 260X on low settings (will look really good since it's 1080p) However this is the first thing I would upgrade, good value GPU's are the R9 270X and R9 280.

4GB of RAM is fine for those games, it's only newer games that need 6+GB's of RAM, however Arma 3 and DayZ will be fine on 4.

Not a bad setup that really, must have cost you £500+ to build so for the performance on the 2 games you want, it's pretty good, since most people spend £800+ when they don't need to (such as buying an i5 when they don't need to)

i5 4690k, r270x is what you should aim for, you would get around 35-50 frames max settings arma 3 and dayz is very unoptimized but you should be able to run it no problem!

Now on the AMD platform since he,s already in the socket AM3+ he could upgrade to a 8320 8 core cpu and be done with it ... On the Intel side of things the 4690K Is a awesome cpu but he has to buy a new motherboard add another 100 plus for a z97 board and 219 for the 4690k that will run him in us dollars around 350 with taxes.. Now the AMD 8320 139 NO board will be less this 150 with taxes....

You guys don't really know what his budget is, my personal opinion would be to keep the 4130, get another 4gb's of ram and throw in an r9 280/GTX 760

thanks for all the answers but i just upgraded my gpu from gt 610( really shitty card) and i was thinking that i could get an i5 and then upgrade again in the future to like an i7 with gtx 970 and btw my budget is about $300 right now so like 240 euros

The dayz mod will be fine on custom high settings and 1080p on the 260x, any lower than 1080p it should near enough max it. arma2/dayz mod fps is all about the cpu but you should get 30+ at all times with the fx, like 30 in town and 60 outside town.

are you sure because ive seen people with fx 6300 and r7 260x play on high with like 25 fps
