My fx5200 just burnt itself out after only about 6 months.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Don't look at it like a problem, it's an opportunity to get a decent video
card. 5900 would be a good choice.

Yea, mine burned out too, had to get 9600np. What a waste of money!

Shouldn't it have a 12 month warranty? That seems to be standard around here

What was the exact card/manufacturer ?

And is it the FX5200 or FX5200 ultra ?

And did it have a fan yes or no :) ?

While the FX5200 may be pathetically slow, video cards don't just burn
themselves out. I'd watch for other components (could be faulty motherboard
or power supply).

yes it has a fan......I believe the card was a digicolor......should be
called dodgy-color I would think....lol
