So I just got some Articlean so I could install my new CPU cooler. I wipe everything off, let it dry, wipe it off again, then install my new CPU cooler. I had it my FX-6300 overclocked to 3.8 GHz using the stock cooler. The new cooler is adequate, so before you say you should upgrade my cooler. My power supply is also beastly so it's not that. I tried overclocking to 4 GHz, amazing temperature results using Prime95. Then I tried for 4.2 Ghz. I got to the Windows loading screen but after that... *drumroll please* I got THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. I hastily clocked it back to 4 GHz and ran. It worked perfectly fine. I tried 4.2 again but again, the BSOD came to haunt me. Any suggestions?

Have you tried increasing your voltage? I have an AMD FX 6300 too and I think I was unlucky with mine lol but my highest stable overclock is 4.4Ghz @ 1.452v (CPU-Z). I could go higher but I'd need much more than 1.55v which is something I'm not risking. The absolute max voltage you should reach is 1.55v as stated my AMD, but the general consensus is to stay below 1.50v for the FX 6300. :)

What new cooler are you using btw?
