fx-6300 idle at 64 Celsius. Is it ok for a warm country?

Hi all. I have a a new fx-6300 mounted on a 970a-g43.
With the case open, and at the motherboard bios without any load, CPU idles at 64 C. Board idles at 40 C. There is one 120 mm out fan, 2*120 mm in fan (counting PSU one as well). VGA is 6670, PSU is FSP hexa+ 550.

Stock Fan speed around 3200 RPM and does not make much noise.
My room temperature is 30 C.

Is above temperature OK, or should I buy a after market cooler, or check my heatsink to CPU connection. Since both processor and board is new, I used the paste pre-applied on the stock fan, and attached it on first try.
Previously i had a core i3 (1st gen) which idle's around 45-50 C.

Solution
80 degrees Fahrenheit in your room? yeah that definitely doesn't help. especially working with only the stock cooler.

I would reapply the thermal compound, if nothing changes check cooler mounting to see if it's on correctly.

If your case fans aren't mounted in a pro-airflow setting, it could also affect the cooling potential of your cooler.

its definitely a bit high, if not high altogether. many like to use the 65c rule for fx processors. though if your not overclocked and using the stock amd cooler, that rule kinda goes out the door.

do you have any thermal paste around? because it sounds like a bad thermal paste application.

are you at all interested in overclocking?

Hi guys thanks for helping out. I bought a Hyper 212 evo and a jetFlo 120. Going to attach them and see what happens, and update it here. I'm kind of an AMD fan, so i'm not buying them to fit the budget 😉 It's not possible to buy AMD in our country (Sri Lanka) , so i had to import the board and processor (which makes it expensive than intel).

Another question, should i remove the heat sink paste (residue) on processor (from the previous stock fan installation) before installing the CS 212 evo, or doesn't it matter.

@nikoli707, if the temps are ok, i'll try to overclock a bit.

Please notice that i'm not used to forums where best answers picked and voted up/down, so sorry if i seem rude. Have a nice day.

Hi guys. I used methanol which was with me for my DSLR lens cleaning, and the cloth which came with it. Used the cooler master thermal paste. And used the hyper 212 evo directing air at the newly bought jetflo 120. Other fans in the casing are a 120 cooler master fan (in) and a chinese 120 fan (in) at the bottom. My casing is CM G430 elite

Set the cpu fan (212 evo's) at 1400 rpm something and jetflo at 1600 rpm. Now cpu temp is 44-48 C and sys temp is 38-40 C, which is brilliant i think. Room temp is 31 C. These are almost idle values after doing web browsing only for a day.

Now my HD6670 temp has gone up around 65C, so i'm going to

1. Clean the dust off from it's heat sink and apply new thermal paste and
2. Add a pci slot fan

And hope the thing will go down.

Thanks for the help guys,
