Intel build http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Milanzaveri/saved/yYkZxr
AMD build http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Milanzaveri/saved/B7fLrH

Which one of these builds will do a better job in editing and rendering 20min videos (using vegas pro)?
I know i5 4460 will give a better gaming experience but will it perform better than an overclocked FX 6300 in rendering and editing videos?
PC will be used for recording minecraft for youtube.
Benchmarks will be very helpful.
I really want an Intel build but if AMD performs better then i'll go for it.

Solution
The i5 will perform significantly better than the ageing fx 6300,please be aware that Nvidia plan to phase out 2gb gtx 960's in favor of the 4gb variations.

It may be worth your while to sit tight and see if there will be a price reduction in the 4gb cards. That may also mean that the 2gb cards may become discounted also.

Personally I would go for this card http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-strixgtx960dc2oc4gd5 and that psu is more than adequate for that build.

I would get the i5 + R9 280x and a better psu

Going with a GTX 960 because of the features nvidia provides.
I will change the psu.
Do you think i5 will perform better than 6300 in rendering?
Thanks for replying.

In rendering the i5 will do a single instance render quicker than even an oc 6300.

Multiple simultaneous encodes (2 or more) the 6300 will likely steal the win while letting you work in the background.

Obviously the i5 is superior in gaming but you already know that.
