You can try but OC depends on other factors too. MB, BIOS, case ventilation etc. If you start slow and keep on checking temps and other vitals it's not going to blow up or burn out as there are safeties built in the processor and other components.
Use AMD Overdrive program for most accuracy with AMD systems.
