Hello all. I've been using Prime94 blend test but always have a core failure 3-4 hours in. I want to tell myself my overclock is stable but can't get to the eight hour mark without one core failing. I've read that prime95 isn't the best for fx prossesors. I'm overclocking with a 20.5 multi and 221 fsb to get a little over 4.5ghz temp are 56 at the socket stressing with a max of 61. Could it the spike of 61 2 hours in making the core fail. I've pushed my vaults to 1.43 and nb core to 1.25 on my last test and still can't get past 4 hours. Ram it set at profile settings. Any other suggestions for other programs.

You heard wrong. Prime95 is the go to app for stress testing your overclock with AMD processors. Go to any forum that is basically overclocking themed and you will see that.

Yea I know I have gone to a lot of forums and heard otherwise regarding Blend on Prime 95 for FX processors. I'm getting failures 4-5 hours into blend. People are failing on stock settings which is why I first started this thread and to get help also. I've been going good on small ffts but haven't stressed for more then 2 hours. Have always switched to blend.

For me, I have everything on except for HPC, which caused freezing issues.
I'm a little in-doubt about Core C6 State since I got a Blue Screen the other day watching a Youtube vid, but nothing since. (Also ran a stress test).

SVM is disabled purely because it isn't needed. (Secure Virtual Machine).
and that bottom one I totally can't remember is set to Auto.

Yea my CPU is power hungry I guess. At stock settings it pulls to much volts. Stock is 1.35 but when I set my bios to optimized it says 1.41 next to auto. Then when I changed the volts it goes back to telling me the stock is 1.38 or something forget. My voltage goes all over the place. Seems at stock the cpu pull over 1.41 with CPUZ sometimes. I'm at 21.0 X 115 FSB. for 4.5 MHZ. It's already passed an hour of small FFT with max temps of 58c but I had to go so I'm trying again. 🙂 Trying not to be so annoying asking for help but been at this all week. Just can't figure at what point I can stop and call it stable. I'm going to run Small fft as long as I can. Then do blended till it fails. I'll be happy with 4 hours on blended.
