Hi,
Last month I upgraded my OS from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro. Everything worked great but I experienced some aggressive core temp spikes in almost every games. For example, while playing NBA 2K16 on Win 7, my max core temp is 40 C. However on Win 10, it was 47 C (with similar CPU usage!).
I was monitoring my core temps with MSI Afterburner while gaming and noticed temp spikes. To be more specific, while playing games, core temp was 30-35 C but it spiked to 45-50 C in a second than goes back to 30-35. In Win 7, I also experience spikes but not that aggresive. Because of this problem I reverted back to Win 7 (thats why I used past tense to describe the problem 😀). Do you guys have the same spikes when upgraded/clean installed to Windows 10? Please do not recommend to clean install as I already tried it. If I solve this problem, I will use Windows 10 again.
PS1: Gaming perfomance, CPU usage and GPU temps were the same with Win 7. Only cpu core temps were different.
PS2: Overall CPU core and package temps were similar with Windows 7 but core temp spikes were way higher than Win 7.
Specs:
CPU: FX 8350 @ stock
GPU: R9 380X Nitro @ stock
MOBO: GA-970-ud3p
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i
PSU: High Power Astro Lite 750W 80+ Gold
