I did alot of research on overclocking cpu's and memory... decided on going with an ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ motherboard and a FX-8350 black edition processor, and i want to do alot of video editing and playing games on maximum resolution so im also getting a GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB graphics card. so here is my predicament, the motherboard supports RAM up to 2400 in dual channel, the FX-8350 processor only supports memory up to 1866 in dual channel... wtf haha. i want cram the most ram into this computer, should i buy 2 dual ram kits at 2400? can someone give me a rundown on how all this works. kinda confused how all this works, say i get the 2400 dual channel kit and my motherboard was only rated for 1688, it would automatically bump it down. so since the the motherboard is 2400 and the memory is 2400, how would that work? how dose dual channel work on a motherboard when it has 4 ram slots? im pretty befuddled and need a good breakdown, already watched all the videos i could find and nothing answers these specific questions.
