Hello guys :)
iam building new pc for gaming
i know the i7-4790 ( non k ) is better .. but not by much right ?!
the games will probably use 8 cores in future ( or why intel has introduced new 8 cores cpus ? )
and if i get the fx 8350 i can water cool it and overclock it like crazy .. (5ghz prob)
also i like multi tasking ... playing crysis 3 while openning chrome amd downloading another game
while rendring 1080p video ... so 8 cores will be better i guess ..
if the fx-8350 which cooler should i get . ?
.
.
.
Thermaltake Water 3.0 Pro CPU Cooler
Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme CPU Cooler
Cooler Master Nepton 240M Liquid/Water CPU Cooler
Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro CPU Cooler
or just cheap : Thermaltake Water 3.0 Performer CPU Cooler will be enough for 4.8 - 5 ghz ?
thx for reading :)

Hello
- The i7 is pretty expansive, and you can take a better GPU if you take a cheaper CPU, but is the better choice for rendering
- The FX for the price is good for rendering (at middle way than i5 and i7), for gaming, the i5 is better, but the FX will have same perfs with i5, in recents games like Crysis 3
With OC, it will match 4770K perfs in rendering
- For gaming, an i5 would be the better solution, but not if you render, an FX is better in this domain

No interest in getting so expansive parts :
- Noctua U12S Aircooling, instead for a noisy and expansive AOI
- Corsair Carbide 300R / NZXT S340
- A good 550W PSU

even after overclocking ? ..
and yea no problem if i get old mobo and cpu
it's better in multi tasking and probably games will use 8 cores so
it will probably be better in games too ..

If money is not a problem, the i7-4790 is the best choice. If you can't buy it, get the i5-4690. For gaming it's the same.

FX CPUs are not good for high end gaming.

Yes, games will use more threads in the future, but in that future the i7 will still be better than the FX-83x0 CPUs.

Split the difference and go for an i5. The 4690 will still beat out an 8350 and will not bottleneck any gpu or game now or in the next few years. For a gaming machine there is no gain in performance between an i7 and and i5 (in rendering, editing, encoding yes the i7 makes a difference).

doesnt matter really. you will be getting rid of it in a couple years anyway.. When DD4 drops in price.

Heck get the AMD 6 core and a R9 270x - 285 something with a decent amount of memory. dont even need to spend alot of money on it.

buy a nice case, PSu, and SSD.. Maybe a 3TB HDD as well.. could throw in a Bluray drive.

Then when DDr4 drops in price in a couple years.. sell the Mother board CPU Ram and eventually the GPU when you get a upgrade in that Department as well.

If if it plays it plays man. dont need a epic system for gaming. save your pennys and when you can afford it in the future get the nice stuff.

From owning an 8320 @ 5ghz and multiple i7s there is a big difference with rendering. The i7s are more powerful in single threaded applications and multi core the fx processors are mostly for gaming. My friend has an 8350 with a 980 and while streaming and doesn't get 60fps while playing bf4 on medium while streaming at 720p 30fps. The 8350 holds back the card a lot and he has long render times. Go for the i7 there's a reason why intel main platform is only quad cores it's because they work. Don't believe that the 8350 is a true 8 core because it is not.

am getting gtx 970 :) so i dont realy think i will need to upgrade my gpu
(the price from i7-4790 and fx 8350 differ from gtx 980 and 970 😀 )

thx for your openion :) money isn't a big deal
i'll probably get the i7 anyway

i won't upgrade my pc soon .. so
i'll probably get i7 since the games will probably use hyperthreading ..

hay :)
i have wated a year and half for the same quotes 😀
and damn that was good ..
now i'll get 970 thanks for waiting 😀
but i don't think i can wait more than that to get an epic pc .
and i won't upgrade in two years 😀

hello :)
thx that was realy helpfull i know it has weaker cores but . i will overclock them
and by using all the cores it will be better than using all cores in the i7 ..
medium 60 fps while streaming 720p 30 fps video and gtx 980 ! 😵
are u sure of these numbers ? 😵

Yes the i7 is alot stronger at stock my 8320 was used as a stream only pc and was clocked at 5.0ghz and would still drop frames on xsplit. With my 4770k even at stock speeds doesn't drop frames. The 8350 is good for mid range gaming pcs once you get into cards like the 290/780 and above it starts to affect performance
