So, I currently have this motherboard (Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 rev. 3) and I am thinking of getting an FX 8350 or FX 9370. I do plan to upgrade the motherboard to a higher end one sometime next month or the month after that in the latest. The price difference between the two processors is like 30 dollars where I'm from.

Now, what I primarily want to ask is, will this chip work with the latest bios for my board? Will I possibly even be able to overclock it (not necessary though)? And, if you say, "yes it will work", should I expect stability issues? And, should I maybe even expect the motherboard to die on me? xD

Thank you very much. :)

Get the fx8350, the fx9370 is not compatible to your MB. Here is the cpu support list. http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4434 Also keep the eye on your MB VRMs section overheat problem when you oc the fx8 series cpu, more info like:

If you want get the small fan to cool the VRMs. Like the one is next to the cpu cooler http://www.overclockers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=135114&d=1384710155
