Hello. I'am gonna buy a new gaming computer soon. Heres what I've been thinking on so far:

Specs:
KINGSTON DDR3 HyperX Red 1600MHz 16GB 2 x 8GB
SEAGATE Barracuda® 2TB
SAMSUNG SSD 840 EVO 250GB
MICROSOFT Windows 8.1
ASUS ASUS DRW-24B5ST, DVD±RW Writer
CORSAIR Obsidian 750D
2x SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 280X
i5 4670k/FX-9370
CORSAIR AX 860 PSU
ASUS Z87-A, Socket-1150
HYPER 212 EVO

So which CPU will run best on my build? I will edit abit, but mostly gaming, do some homework, I will probably max have 10 tasks up at same time and 2 games. What will run best on BF4?

Solution
FX 9370 is AMD CPU.

And your motherboard is for Intel CPU.

With this board you have to go for i5 one.

And if you make choice for FX 9370, then you have to change your motherboard to an AMD supported one.

No-one knows until its gets released. If you can wait one week, then you will know for absolute certain. Eg, one effect of the latest BF4 Beta Patch patch is this:-

"Various improvements for players using quad core and six core CPUs"

What's wrong with your current PSU?

I read this thread and saw this. Now you're already talking about overclocking.

Do you really want that?

If not choose the 4770 for best multicore results. But when i look at that quote and you're already worried about saving $10 i guess go for the amd Fx 8350 or the Fx 9370.
Looking now at the price difference of $90 between the two at newegg i would choose the Fx 8350.
Even the intel i5 4570 would be a good option imo when not overclocking.

Even in the next review where the game seems to benefit from multicore the intels seem to do better, even the quad core haswells.

BF4 isn't benchmarked here so how well they do there is a different thing, but i found this one,

Iff you really want to overclock these guys/girls are already helping you out.

Even if you buy a non "K" 4770 or else buy a not to expensive aftermarket cpu cooler so they can reach their max turbo speeds without getting to hot and throttle down.
The stock cooler should do,but then again....

Well, honestly, either of those 200$+ CPUs' will give you top notch performance AMD's FX9xxx (or a modest 8350 overclock) can just brute force around it's single thread weakness and I7's hyperthreading will cover all the multithreading bases anyway.

It's basically a tug of war here with neither side beating the other outright. In present Intel has an edge in the gaming performance, however soon trends may shift in a more AMD friendly areas.

Yet overpriced as hell. You could achieve the same results with an FX 8320/8350 and a CM 212 evo for less. (FX 8320 average overclock is in the neighborhood of 4.6ghz)

sfx 9370 is a BIG mistake, so is i5 4670k...the thing is games are getting heavily threaded , my point of view it makes a little sense to go i5... to prove my point of view here i would like you to look at this link... Ubisoft claims that watch dogs use 8 cores or 4 cores and 8 threads...http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=4546&game=Watch%20Dogs
fx 8350 is equal to i5 4670k when it comes to using the 6th core...but if those extra cores started working, as they would in watch dogs, no one can stop this cpu, since in multi threaded apps this cpu is 2% stronger than I7-4770k...some might criticize me than one game doesnt mean all games...but tell you what, companies develope a new engine to make multiple tittles on it not just one, watch dogs is a sign...unreal engine 4 is a sign....so in my point of view, i5s wont last long, now if you dont have any budgets and buying an i7 doesnt limit your vga purchase, go i7-4770k if not go fx 8350 and overclock it to 4.5 ghz and there you have your new cpu...either way you will be fine
