Fx 9370 with Gigabyte 970A-UD3P

Yes it will fry it http://www.gigabyte.us/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4717 not on the support list so Gigabyte thinks so as well. High end 990FX board needed.

it is 220W but the socket will deliver up to 125/140W may be . No way .

First issue you would see is forced thermal throttle on the CPU because of overheating VRM's/mosfets.

won't the 970A-UD3P designed by gigabyte specificaly to work whit those CPU (FX-9xxx and FX-8xxx) ?
i mean it has an 8+2 phase CPU VRM power design for AMD high-TDP CPU support with high end mosfets...
would'n It will handle those CPU's ? based on this article it should?
