Hello guys,

I am now actualy running arctic cooler freezer 13

https://www.arctic.ac/uk_en/freezer-13.html

considering upgrade to NOCTUA NHD14

http://noctua.at/en/nh-d14/specification

I am still a little bit sceptical when it comes to cooling, do you think it will help? I do not want to toss 40 bucks our for cooler that will not help.

Currently running my AMD FX 6350 at 4.3Ghz and want to take it to 4.5-4.6 as my card is a little bottlenecked.

Awaiting your opinion.

I'd like to point out that increasing your overclock to 4.5ghz is less than a 5% improvement, which will probably equate to less than 2FPS in CPU-limited scenarios. I wouldn't bother.

I don't know if the performance gain of 300 Mhz on an FX-6300 would be worth the price of the Noctua (which is an awesome cooler but pricey). I've had very good results on Intel systems using the Thermalright True Spirit 140 (own two of them). Very quiet with great cooling capacity (and about $25 less than the Noctua).

The Noctua that I am buying costs 35USDs, for that prize I am thinking about upgrade.... I have with arctic cooler freezer 13 circa 60°C to 70°C, which is about a little too high.

Ecky, just 2 FPS? WoW, thats a bit too low! :-(
