The problem I am having is that I had my RAM running at 3200 mhz on a previous motherboard, but now I cannot get my RAM to run at 3200mhz and I believe it may be whats causing lock ups while playing RAM intense games.

I used to have an EVGA z170 FTW motherboard but the PCI controller died on it and EVGA was kind enough to replace it for me as it was still under warranty, but they upgraded me to the z270 FTW K. I used the same RAM and same CPU on the new motherboard. I believe I had used the XMP Profile 2 on the z170 motherboard BIOS, but it will not let me select Profile 2 on this one. I can select XMP Profile 1, and even when I set the voltage manually to 1.35v, the top left of the BIOS screen will show 3200 mhz, but once I load into windows, everything I have shows different results, take a look at the pic.

I am quite certain that everything showed 1600(DDR) or 3200 mhz before. Am I reading it wrong? Am I mis-remembering? Is something not working right?

System Specs:
Windows 10 Pro
Intel Core i7 6700k
EVGA z270 FTW K Motherboard (Model: 132-KS-E277-KR) BIOS Version 1.07
G.Skill Ripjaw V DDR3200 32gb(4x8gb) (Model: F4-3200C14Q-32GVR)

Solution
Did you reinstall your OS.
If no so try it.

And i even see that windows shows current clock speed. Doesnt depend on load.
Well i have kingston hyper x fury 2133mhz. And it shows 1066mhz. In windows task manager..

So i tried AIDA 64 to test my pc. And at time of testing my ram hits 2133mhz.

So dont worry and bench your system with AIDA64. and if it performs good. So why you need to show 3000mhz. If your system run smooth.
