Question G-Sync/FreeSync drives me crazy and leaves me puzzled ?

Hi, so i bought second time monitor and this time i make sure it is on Nvidia list for G-sync, it even have label on it and it's LG 32GP850 165hz

So problem is in Cyberpunk on max settings in some cases i do get tearing and in some cases when i really try hard and move camera around on different speeds and angles i can see like ghosting a little on some objects and it's not consistent, in most cases there is no tearing or ghosting but i don't understand why it's not always working perfect.

How game runs:
V-sync off with frame gen consistent 165 FPS not dropping.

With V-sync ON can't use frame gen and FPS is 120 average but not consistent range is 80-120 and to be fair i really can't tell any difference in game related to responsiveness but visually there is no cases of tearing or ghosting.

What did i try already:
Nvidia settings enable for windowed and fullscreen is on. Enable for selected model on. 3D settings general V-sync OFF.
In monitor settings: Overclock mode, Adaptive-Sync- Extended/Basic/Off
Response Time: Faster/Fast/Normal/Off HDR On/Off

None of options in monitor fix my problem but different settings do impact visual quality so i am running it on:
Overclock OFF, Adaptive-Sync- Extended, Response Time - Fast, HDR - Off (with custom my prefered brightness and contrast tweaks)

I hope someone here understand whats going on there because i feel stupid turning off v-sync when visually it's worse and that FPS number don't do anything since game runs same in both cases but i might be crazy there is no way it should work like this.

I really appreciate anyone who can give some light in this and thank you in advance.

Also what your connection/cable type is to the monitor.

G-Sync compatible may only mean DisplayPort only on older hardware. And I believe HDMI 2.1 is necessary for G-Sync over HDMI, which means having a relatively new Nvidia GPU and a monitor with FreeSync Premium.

Hey there,

In the menu of your monitor, there is an option to reset! Use this option and reset the monitor to defaults. Does the issue persist?

Also, please list your full PC specs, so we can better understand what's happening.

I will try it later but not sure why i should reset settings on new out of box monitor after i did tweak settings for me.
PC spec list will be below but like i told 99% times there is no tearing or ghosting it happens only when i test game by moving camera on different angles and speeds and even then tearing is really small.

I use cable what came with monitor in box which is DisplayPort 1.4 and like i told it's not like g-sync or free sync is not working it do works but when i test game and do move camera on different speeds and angles sometimes i do see a little small tear and ghosting

update i did more testing and did try reset monitor settings
reset didn't help
But i did find what causes ghosting and rare cases of small tearing it is frame generation on in game
with v sync off and frame gen off i am not getting any issues but game runs averaged 120 FPS with frame gen ON 165 FPS but in rare cases ghosting and tearing

In my experience Frame Gen is pretty half baked. Some games I've tried it on it's...fine. Others, like MSFS2020 introduce minor tearing like you have observed, others cause massive lag, others yet it just does nothing but crank GPU utilization up to 100% with no other results. Initially I was skeptical about the technology. I remain so, and it remains off.

uh that is sad since i just bought new monitor mainly because of frame gen since it works with v-sync off only and my old screen was lying that it's have free sync and turn out its not on list in nvidia and not work.

Thanks for help.
