Ok guys so Ive bought BENQ XL2420G monitor which is 24 inch 1080 p , 144 hz monitor

Ive enabled gsync
everything is set up

but my fps is locked to 60 fps in games like Witcher 3 ,shadow of mordor
Ive put 144 hz in nvidia control panel, and in control resolution thing on desktop

Ive turned off in games V SYNC ofcourse

does it just shows 60 fps but its running more or

I mean I dont see difference then my older 60hz monitor

MY RIG: I7 4790k
2 strix gtx 970 SLI
Maximus VII HERO
BENQ XL2420G 1080p

LCDs have a static display, that is why you can film them without that "flicker" as seen on old CRT monitors. It is also why burn-in can happen. As well, when on the desktop the GPU is considered idle so it downclocks. You will never see 144FPS on a desktop screen, you don't need that speed for that.

Go into your actual windows screen resolution settings and change the refresh rate from 60 to 144hz. Same thing happened to me when i got the pg278q i was trippin out

Oh shit in Witcher 3 there is option to lock on 60 fps
I forgot to tap that out xD

but on desktop with FRAPS says 10 fps
So i dont get it
but my refresh rate is faster then my older monitor right?xD
Ive checked 144 hz on control panel nvidia and on desktop resolution setting
